ALS 2026

The 2026 Conference of the Australian Linguistic Society will be held at the University Club of Western Australia, on Whadjuk Nyungar boodja (Whadjuk Nyungar Country) in Boorloo / Perth, Western Australia between 1 and 4 December 2026.

The annual ALS conference brings together language and linguistics practitioners, researchers and educators to present and discuss current work in all areas of linguistics. Reflecting both the longstanding traditions of the discipline and the evolving directions of contemporary research, ALS 2026 provides a forum for supportive scholarly exchange to honour the foundations of the field, discuss nuance and diversity, and chart the way forward.

We look forward to welcoming you all in Boorloo / Perth in December!
