Registration
The annual conference of the Australian Linguistic Society will be held at the University Club of Western Australia, on Whadjuk Nyungar Country in Boorloo / Perth, Western Australia from 1-4 December 2026.
Presenters are reminded that they must be a current ALS member at the time of registration in order to present at the conference. New prospective members can join ALS here.
To help us keep no-shows to a minimum and ensure that the program reflects the presentations that will actually take place, we ask that each presentation is linked to a conference registration by the early-bird registration deadline.
If we don’t see a registration linked to a presentation by then, we’ll assume that the presentation is no longer going ahead and will remove it from the program.
We appreciate your help in keeping the program as accurate as possible and look forward to seeing you at the conference!

Early bird rates are available until 5pm (AWST), 31 October. Concession rates are available for full-time students and unwaged delegates. Registrations close at 5pm (AWST), Monday 16 November. Delegates from countries listed by the World Bank as 'low and middle income countries' (https://data.worldbank.org/country/XO) are welcome to register at the concessional rates.

Cost: $70.00 per person (includes a complimentary drink on arrival; a cash bar will be available for subsequent purchases).
Note: Dinner registrations will close on Wednesday 18 November 2026 to facilitate final catering arrangements.

Cancellation Policy
Conference registration will be refunded in full if cancelled by Monday November 16. After this date there will be a cancellation fee of $150 for standard registrations which will cover costs not able to be recovered by conference organisers. Conference dinner and single-day registrations will not be refunded after November 16.
