Grant to support publication

The 2024 Grant to support publication grantees have now been announced. They are:

  • Reza Arab for 'Having fun is a matter of taste: Semantics of 'Funny' words in French and Persian'
  • Alena Kazmaly from Griffith University for 'Applied semantics meets psychological assessment: the “Agreeableness” personality dimension in English and Russian. '

The Australian Linguistic Society calls for applications from any member of the Society for a grant to support publication costs, for example, open access fees. Application deadline Oct 30 2024. Funds up to $2500 can be requested; priority will be given to open access costs, but other publication costs may be considered, for costs incurred during 2024.

Priority will be given to students and ECRS. Publications should be with reputable publishers.
