AIATSIS Sponsorship for Aboriginal and/or Torres Strait Islander delegates

The Australian Linguistic Society (ALS) is pleased to announce that the Australian Institute of Aboriginal and Torres Strait Islander Studies (AIATSIS) will support up to ten Aboriginal and/or Torres Strait Islander delegates to attend the 2026 Conference of the Australian Linguistic Society, which will take place at the University Club of Western Australia on 1-4 December 2026.
If you are selected as a sponsored delegate, the following costs of attending the conference will be covered:
- Conference registration fees (including the conference dinner)
- Travel, including flights and airport transfers
- Accommodation
- A daily allowance for meals not provided at the conference
- Membership of the Australian Linguistic Society
Preference will be given to applicants who have submitted an abstract to the conference. Abstract submission closes on 17 July 2026.
The information you provide in this form will be used only for the purposes of assessing your sponsorship delegate application. You will be notified of the outcome by mid-October 2026.
