AIATSIS Sponsorship for Aboriginal and/or Torres Strait Islander Delegates

The Australian Linguistic Society (ALS) is pleased to announce the Australian Institute of Aboriginal and Torres Strait Islander Studies (AIATSIS) will be sponsoring up to ten Aboriginal and/or Torres Strait Islander delegates to attend the 2025 ALS Conference, which will be held 2–5 December 2025 at the Gold Coast campus of Griffith University.

If you are selected as a sponsored delegate, the following costs of attending the conference will be covered by AIATSIS, in partnership with ALS:

• Conference registration fees (including attendance at the Conference Dinner)
• Travel, including flights and airport transfers
• Accommodation
• A daily allowance for meals not provided at the conference.
• Membership of the Australian Linguistic Society

Preference will be given to applicants who have submitted an abstract to the conference. (Please note that abstract submissions closed on 15 July).

The information you provide in this form will be used only for the purposes of assessing your sponsorship delegate application. You will be notified of the outcome by 12 September 2025.
